Today, it was back to the grindstone for the crew at Area 51, so we rose a little early to make sure that the pups got their exercise in before calls and meetings started. There was a lot of chasing and fetching in the backyard, before we settled into office mode. Everyone was pretty helpful in regards to work duties. While it would be impossible for our four-legged friends to ride a scooter, their level interest in the video calls was undeterred. Dexter was especially dazzled by the on-screen activity.

After a few hours of humans yapping and squawking on zoom and google meet, we took a break to run around again on the deck and lawn. It wasn’t long before the whole pack petered out from exhaustion, seemingly collapsing in unison to bask in the afternoon sun.

With the holiday over, there were many tasks to accomplish that had built up with over the weekend, with folks returning from out of town and having the moral support of all these awesome animals made knocking off some big items almost effortless; it proved to be a very productive day! This writer was even able to take one important call in an encumbered horizontal position, from the mission control lounge.

The late afternoon was monopolized by a decidedly un-canine annoyance and inconvenience: a visit to the DMV to clear up a registration matter. Luckily the early evening started with a half round of golf that produced some mildly acceptable shots.

The kitchen staff had intended to prepare a quiet dinner at home, but a late invitation was received to meet friends in Danville for a bite and a sip, so Dexter and Lola (as well as their food) summoned the chauffeur, while Bella and Grady enjoyed their dinner date alone. Excitement was high in downtown Danville with much pedestrian activity and a couple familiar faces to delight the pampered pups. The evening out finished with a nightcap on the way home, before returning home for some brief, but loud, ruckus that led to quick slumber at about 11pm.

Health Information: Dexter weighed in, again, at 20 pounds. No issues with any of their poop. No medications seemed to be required, other than the prescription for Bella of Ofloxacin, which was administered for the second day.
